Social Technology
Social technology is an unusual term. Nowadays, when people say social technology, we tend to think of children hunching down and posting tweets on their FaceSpaces and MyBooks. Seems counter-intuitive when we think about it. It used to be that socialization involves talking to people and doing other activities, but in the present those activities are largely substituted through online interaction. How does this affect the developing mind? Does it signify a decay of communication skills, ironically brought about by technology designed to help it? Or does this just signify a new paradigm in our constantly evolving world? Opinions vary from expert to expert, but regardless which is more accurate, this question gives an interesting view of the next generation.
